Welcome to my little food blog, Le Fork!
Here you’ll find healthy, homemade recipes that are sustainable and seasonal! I’ve always loved to cook, but it wasn’t until 3 years ago that I started hoarding kitchen appliances and cookbooks. After realizing 99% of the photos in my iPhone were of things I whipped up in my teeny weeny kitchen, I decided to start this blog to share what was on my table.
Living in the San Francisco, Bay Area has made me really passionate about a “farm to table” style of cooking. I’ve realized that the quality and freshness of an ingredient makes a huge difference in how your food tastes, AND how your body feels after consuming it. When cooking I try to {almost} always buy organic, and shop at my local Farmers Market as much as possible.
I’m a firm believer that just about anyone can cook. Like anything else, it just takes practice, an open mind, and a lot {ok a ton} of patience. You don’t need a big fancy kitchen, just a lot of salt and a cast iron dutch oven {seriously it’s a necessity and Le Creuset knows it}.
So what do I do in real life? I’m a corporate event p
lanner in Silicon Valley for Bay Area News Group. Planning events is my other passion {who doesn’t love a good decked out wedding??}, and I’m working on merging the two by starting up my mobile, pour over coffee cart, Little Brew Coop {read more about that here} with my boyfriend in 2013.
When I’m not working or cooking, I’m documenting my life through Instagram. Follow me! @dionna_mash
